It’s not every day that you get to combine your professional life with your passion. This past week, I had the unique opportunity to do just that. Many of you know that I spend my spare time as a helicopter pilot and instructor; at CDW, I serve as an Executive Healthcare Advisor.
Last week, our team engaged in a powerful two-day journey that blended in-depth account planning, success recognition, and strategic goal-setting, culminating in a hands-on aviation experience. This wasn’t just about the thrill of flying—it was about developing confidence, focus, and resilience. By incorporating core aviation principles like Aeronautical Decision Making, Go/No-Go Decision Making, Setting Personal Minimums, and Flight Planning, we created a framework that resonates deeply in both the cockpit and the corporate world.
“Sky’s the Limit” is a unique team-building experience designed to enhance executive leadership and sales strategy through the lens of aviation. Guided by certified instructors, participants engaged in high-level planning and experienced the exhilaration of learning to hover a helicopter. This event gave each team member the opportunity to apply these aviation principles directly to their work, setting a powerful foundation for growth and collaboration.
