Don’t be Afraid to Divert, Turn Around or Land!

Welcome to day 195 Coffee with Kenny! This is number 7 from the Helicopter Safety Team! We have been covering all of them. I just did a cross country trip where I had to divert. I made the decision to turn back and divert and thank goodness it turned out ok. We didn't wait until it was too late or the situation could have been a lot worse. So, watch the past 6 videos as well from the Helicopter Safety Team topics!

Stop the Scud Running – Lowering your altitude to avoid clouds or bad weather is dangerous..

Welcome to day 192 Coffee with Kenny! We are on a cross country trip and we've been talking about fatal accidents and how they are on the rise. Scud running..I thought was a good topic for today. Those of you that have done it, know what I'm talking about and know how stupid it is. Stop the get home itis and make good decisions. We have to stop pushing ourselves or letting others push us into bad decisions!

Please share your experiences and leave your questions and comments below the video! #coffeewithkenny

#191 AIRCRAFT ACCIDENTS medication usage a factor in 10 to 13 percent Aug 15, 2019

AIRCRAFT ACCIDENTS medication usage a factor in 10 to 13 percent!

Welcome to day 131 Coffee with Kenny! I personally haven't had to deal with this topic often. I don't take any regular medication and if i am taking a medication it's because I must be super sick, and if I'm super sick, I'm not flying. So that is number 3 of the 7 things that the safety team talked about, being on medication and knowing weather you should fly while taking it or not. So, if you are taking meds, reach out to your medical examiner and ask questions!

Thanks for tuning in, leave us your questions and comments below! #coffeewithkenny
