Hey everyone, Kenny Keller here, the creator of Helicopter Online Ground School (HOGS). Today, I want to talk about something that we're really proud of - the HOGS No Go Button.
For those of you who don't know, the HOGS No Go Button is a special button that we give to our members after they pass their helicopter check ride. It's a physical button that you can use to be reminded to make the No Go Decision to stay on the ground.
But what exactly does the HOGS No Go Button represent, and why is it so important to us?
Well, first of all, passing your check ride is a huge accomplishment. It means that you've demonstrated to a certified flight instructor (CFI) that you have the knowledge, skills, and judgment to safely operate a helicopter. It's a milestone that every pilot strives for, and we believe that it deserves to be recognized and celebrated.
But passing your check ride is just the beginning. As pilots, we never stop learning and growing. We're constantly facing new challenges and opportunities to improve our skills. And that's where the HOGS No Go Button comes in.
You see, the HOGS No Go Button is not just a symbol of your achievement - it's a reminder of your responsibility as a pilot. It represents your commitment to safety, your dedication to continuing education, and your willingness to say "no" when necessary.
As pilots, we have to be willing to make tough decisions. We have to be willing to cancel a flight if the conditions aren't safe, even if it means disappointing our passengers or losing money.
That's why the HOGS No Go Button is so important to us. It's a symbol of the values that we hold dear - safety, education, and accountability. It's a way to recognize and reward our members for their hard work and dedication. And it's a way to inspire all pilots to strive for excellence and to always put safety first.
